A Night at the Opera (11 AM)
Most people like a good story. Jesus knew this and told parables, seemingly simple stories, to convey deeper messages about themes such as the importance of prayer, the meaning of love, the Kingdom of God and more. In the story/parable of the Prodigal Son, the main characters are a father and his two sons, one of whom has left home for a better life, a life not filled with the drudgery of farming and working the land. Through this story we learn of the amazing, free gift of grace; grace that knows no bounds. It is a gift from the God to anyone, even those who have strayed.
