Visioning Conversations

Visioning Conversations

First Thursday, Third Thursday, from 08/02/2018 to 08/16/2018, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Location: Community United Methodist Church, 9225 Jason Ave NE, Monticello, MN US 55362

The website Topnonprofits.com describes a mission statement as "a one-sentence statement describing the reason your organization or program exists (what you do + who/what you do this for)."   We already have our mission/mission statement.  It is the mission of The United Methodist Church: "to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world." This mission is also given to us by Jesus himself in the Great Commission: "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have taught you" (Mt 28:19-20a).

It's the vision/vision statement that we, Community United Methodist Church, need to define and clarify-- "A short phrase describing the future you are ultimately working towards (i.e. your final destination or desired end state" (Topnonprofits.com).

A clearly-identified vision will guide us in our decision making as we implement our MCCI prescriptions. More importantly, it will focus our energies on how God is calling us to share the love of Jesus Christ.

Please mark your calendars today and plan to join us
for this important two-part conversation facilitated by the Rev. Cindy Gregorson, Director of Ministries for The Minnesota Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church. Your voice is important.
