Set Aside for God (11 AM)

As we continue our journey through The Story, we migrate from a sermon miniseries on God’s people finding hope in times of darkness to one focused on experiences of victory when it never seemed possible.

What we do with the things we have and how we handle the relationships we’re in changes us. The things we value change us. The book of Joshua tells of the Israelites setting aside their first acquisitions for God. How much do we prioritize God in our living and giving? Perhaps it’s time to consider the “idols” in our lives and reexamine what we truly dedicate to God on the altars of our lives…

Have you ever been the last one picked, felt like life chewed you up and swallowed you whole for breakfast, or even hit rock bottom? Life doesn’t always go as planned, and biblical stories of divine intervention may seem far-reaching when compared with our own experiences. But if the God of the Hebrew Bible is the same God that we believe in today, might victory be possible for us???
