Living Hope (9 AM)

Today we conclude our sermon series with the parable of the rich man and Lazarus. At first glance, it seems like this discomforting parable is meant for someone else. After all, most of us don't really identify with either the rich man or Lazarus. But maybe there's another role for us to assume in the story; a role ripe for being and sharing living hope.

    Series Information

Jesus was a master storyteller. He knew just how to comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable. And though life in first-century Palestine was very different from life today, many traditional interpretations of Jesus’ stories fail to honor that reality. Join us as we discover Jesus’ short stories, or parables, anew and delve into what they might mean for our lives today.
