Most of us hear the word "Sabbath" and images of restfulness come to mind. That's why the leader of the synagogue got upset with Jesus one day. Instead of resting and worshipping God, Jesus was healing a bent over woman. A devout Jewish man, Jesus honored the Sabbath--he just had a more robust perspective of the Sabbath and what it entails: liberation.
