A Night at the Opera (11 AM)

Most people like a good story. Jesus knew this and told parables, seemingly simple stories, to convey deeper messages about themes such as the importance of prayer, the meaning of love, the Kingdom of God and more. In the story/parable of the Prodigal Son, the main characters are a father and his two sons, one of whom has left home for a better life, a life not filled with the drudgery of farming and working the land. Through this story we learn of the amazing, free gift of grace; grace that knows no bounds. It is a gift from the God to anyone, even those who have strayed.

    Series Information

Having finished our study of the Hebrew Scriptures, we now turn our attention to the New Testament Gospels. Through the incarnation of Jesus Christ, humanity is given the opportunity to see and hear the heart of God. Jesus teaches us how to live, love, learn, listen and lead with integrity and intentionality. No one’s life has had a greater impact on the course of human history than his. Jesus is the heart of the story and the beat of our hearts.
