Marilyn Thompson’s twenty-two years of faithful ministry have been an incredible blessing to Community United Methodist Church. She has helped to facilitate and normalize pastoral and lay leadership changes, navigated advancements in technology, remained on top of an ever-evolving church membership, assisted each of us as we’ve called or stopped by the office, and she has done it all with a smile on her face and the love of Christ in her heart. As you may know, Marilyn will be retiring on February 1. Please join Pastor Carrie, the Staff/Parish Relations Committee and the staff in celebrating Marilyn’s extraordinary ministry with Community during and after the 9:00 AM worship service.
If you would like to contribute to a congregational gift, please note "Marilyn's Retirement" on the memo line of your check or on the outside of an envelope before placing it in the Offering plate during worship or bringing it to the church office. In addition, there is a basket in which you are invited to place cards for Marilyn in the church office. Thank you!
