CUMC Scholarship Fund

PURPOSE
The CUMC Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to persons wishing to enter a field of study with the goal of achieving skills, licenses, or degrees towards job fulfillment and economic stability.

We are excited to announce we have awarded six $2,500 scholarships for the 2022-2023 school year! Recipients will be honored on Sunday, May 1 at the 10 AM worship service.

CRITERIA

Applicants should have a connection to Community United Methodist Church.
Consideration will be given to persons of any age wishing to embark on career preparation.
Must be able to meet the application criteria of proposed training, school.
All applicants will be considered regardless of race, gender or gender expression, sexual orientation, age, marital status, national origin, religion, or disability.

GUIDELINES
Scholarships will be awarded on an annual basis and disbursed to the educational body of the recipient's choice to be used toward tuition or fees.

APPLICATION AND SELECTION PROCESS
Complete the scholarship application below, or pick up an application at the church office (9225 Jason Ave NE, Monticello, MN 55362).

Include details about the intended field of study and how this scholarship will help you attain your educational and professional goals. It is through God’s grace that we offer these funds to those wishing to pursue fulfillment of their talents and purposes.

Applications are due March 1st of the calendar year. Awards will be announced by April 15th.

Scholarships are awarded each year to applicants in pursuit of furthering education in a variety of fields. The number and amount of awards is dependent upon the number of applicants and funds available. Applications are due March 1, and applicants are notified of decisions in early April.

Requirements:

Applicants should have some connection to Community UMC.
Applicants must be enrolled or intend to enroll in a training, licensure or degree program during the year.
Application and informational description (document or video) must be received by the March 1 deadline.
